Sasha Montgomery has everything she ever wanted.
She's managing one of the hottest rock bands of the moment, gets paid to travel the world, hangs around hot musicians all day…
She's got everything she ever dreamed of…except Mick Savage.
Mick is the lead guitarist from bad boy rock 'n' roll outfit Affliction, and she's got one hell of a crush on him.
For three and a half years Sasha has watched him look at everyone but her. Miserable and shy, the only thing she has to turn to is her work. It was fine when she was just the stage manager - she could deal with that. Now she's the manager and has to deal with him on a daily basis. Face-to-face. As if her heart couldn't get any more broken.
Mick hasn't looked at her twice. He hasn't spoken to her outside of band business. He hasn't seen her as anything but Affliction's manager. Watching him from the sidelines is unbearable, but when he finally realises what her feelings are…everything is going to change.
And it might just be for the worse.

Released at the special price of 99cents!

THE REVIEW

I hope you are super cool!. Today we especially review the new book by Amity Cross, Unbearable.

These books have been to me like a packet of sweets which I have to find their flavor (although they are delicious, I have to find that flavor that makes them special) and it was a great delight.

To Unbearable, I found a special taste, a candy that is spicy for outside, but inside is sweet as honey. And I refer to spicy to the hot that this book is, to say that we have a very strong character female, and sweet as honey to the fact that there are moments that give a lot of laughter, very romantic and important times for Affliction's band.

Definitely recommend reading of the previous stories because you finding spoilers and  some important things, so you must go to your favorite store, and find them! Now we continue with this candy hot.

Officially I am Team Montgomery! From the second or uhm third page, I was fascinated with her (thanks to your questions to Mick and phrases), is a smart, efficient girl at work and the group worships her, your problem: being in love of the most hot guitarist of this time, Mick Savage. From the first moment she met him, she officially felt a click with Mick but he never realized. Now she is working as band manager and she will have to deal with the life of rockstar that have Mick.

If to you has never liked one of the guitarists of your favorite band, I put you an X!! Amity put the essence of a guitarist in Mick, He is simply: funny, charismatic, hot very hot, talented but very clueless. He enjoy the life you have now, any woman would fall at his feet and the fame that he have now, on the top of the list, is thanks the only woman he has never set: Sasha Montgomery.

But everything in life has a limit and Sasha will find anything to keep Mick out of your life, but he will not easy, the strange behavior of her ,attracts their attention inmediately.

In this book you will find several characters that are already known ones and loved for those who have read the previous books. We will know more in depth about Sasha  and what is surrounding  to Affliction at this time. The fit of the above stories are perfectly introduced for this story, link the correct threads can create an amazing connection and the author achieves that clean jump.

It was fun to go through of the subway with the face like an apple red candy and suddenly laugh with the occurrences of Mr Savage and maybe sometime feel me sad for Sasha, if a book gives you these emotions and a not so elaborate manner and staying true his instinct is good sign!

I would definitely recommend it if you are a fan of the previous books You will love this! Mick is officially added to my list of hot guys and Sasha, simply I'm your fan.

I hope you like the special songs, and you find them your favorites and most importantly enjoy this book;)

 THE REVIEW

Who is Alice Franklin? The rumors about her are true? Why did you start it?
Only one person knows the truth: Alice, and this book is the only one She not to tell us the story behind her, but some that are around her, as those who think they have the truth about Alice, They tell us the story.

This ARC I had it for a long time and I had not given me a chance to give it a proper review on this blog, and indeed, it is one of those books that I have among my favorites of this year as a novelty, although at first I had a difficulty of read this story, by the very fact that I did not expect it to be told by others, after that I started to grab my pace.

To tell us the story will be 4 people who had something to do with the life of Alice, and with its own distinct style and with a particular voice for each, which plays an important role.

We have to Kelsie, Alice's former best friend, Josh, a fellow football star who happened to be in the car When the accident happens. We also find to Elaine, queen bee and Kurt, a shy genius who will be an important part of the Alice's story.

Each count us as "is supposed to be Alice" as was the accident and the consequences of this and how they are part of it all is somewhat attractive in that book and envelops you in the desire to know what is what really happened, because despite all their supposed truth, there are flashes of the true state of Alice and who she really is.

This book also gives you that feeling when you read a journal, but still will not get to compare. Perhaps it is more closer to those movies where we all talk about the new girl or the girl will stand out (as in the booktrailer) and that at times we see our protagonist being as it is. And so your mind really see what you are reading, as it is very well defined, the situation is known and we all go through school and take issues which are current .

Intimidation, lies, gossip, power, popularity, sex and high school in all its glory, the issues that handled are the appeal of this book, by the fact that they are in a very well structured situation by the author, and a mirror to realism that exists with more force now in schools. Maybe yeah, we have many movies and books that to see with many cliches about how bullyng was handled before, (although in essence it is the same) there are now more ways to destroy a person and worst in the most cruel manner.

Definitely a theme that never (though hopefully soon end) missing to tell a story, but meanwhile The truth about Alice is a book that you must have, and if you want to know the truth, of Alice, that of no one else, you'll have to get to the end to get it. Add it to your wishlist and Alice definitely give you plenty to talk about.

NARomances

Excerpt

Crushed By Renee Novelle

As soon as I walked through the perfectly polished glass doors, I was assaulted by a rush of bright colors, vibrant music and overly friendly people just dying to put their bodies through the most grueling workout they could endure. And I had to admit to myself, their enthusiasm was a little contagious. People of all shapes, sizes and ages surrounded me, and I began to feel those nerves dissolve – just a little bit.

Maybe, just maybe, this wouldn’t be so bad after all.

And that’s when I saw him. He was leaning casually against the check-in desk, the absurdly chiseled muscles of his arm flexing under the weight of his perfect body. They were easy to see, thanks to the black top he’d cut the sides out of. His dark brown eyes glistened with boyish mischief while his lips curled into an appealingly delicious smile. The low rumble of laughter that flowed from his chest moved through me, over me, and almost immediately – I’m ashamed to say – I could picture myself in those sexy arms with his hands moving in all sorts of ways. It was one of those knock-down-drag-out images that stilled me in my tracks. And I’m pretty certain my face turned a million shades of red.

All at once, I felt those nerves flooding back. Only they were a thousand times stronger than they’d been in the parking lot, and for a fairly long second I thought I might hurl right then and there. But I swallowed down the sensation, clenched my jittery hands and tried my best to manage a natural smile as Savannah walked confidently up to scan her little card. As we approached the desk, getting closer and closer to the hottie at the side, I secretly wished I’d worn a cute little outfit like Savannah’s...

Everyone behind the desk greeted her by name – she was daily regular, and she had the body to account for it. I crept up timidly behind her, hoping that no one noticed me. But I didn’t stand a chance at that for too long. Before I realized what had happened, Savannah had turned around and gestured in my direction. “This is my friend Brooklyn, she’s signing up today.”

Suddenly, all eyes were on me. Including the hot stranger’s. And I felt my face blush against my will again. “Hi.” I waved timidly, and I could feel him smiling beside me.

“Cute name.” He said, but I’m pretty sure I was the only one who heard him. And I was also pretty sure I was crushing on him pretty hard.

After getting the necessary pre-requisites out of the way about how trials and memberships work, and after they gave me their boring sales run-down with the hopes of converting me right then and there, I was given a little card like Savannah’s that would only be active for a week. Then the main girl behind the counter with the too-chipper voice said, “You also get one free session with a personal trainer with your trial. Did you want to use that today? Most people say it helps them to get familiar with the equipment.” She shrugged.

I opened my mouth to object, but before I could push the words out, Savannah had gestured toward the hot guy who was still leaning against the counter. “Collin, you’re a personal trainer, right?”

My head jerked in his direction, and I wondered if my expression looked as panicked as I felt. Knowing Savannah like I did, I knew exactly where this was going.

“Yeah, sure am.” He smiled as he straightened.

“Great!” She was overly enthusiastic, and I felt my morbid embarrassment heighten. “Do you have time to show her around?”

“I’m on in ten.” After glancing at a clock on the wall, he turned his full attention directly to me. “Want to meet me over by the lockers?”

Everything in me wanted to scream yes! with the same force that it wanted to bolt right back out the door, get in my car, and never return. I was torn, undecided on which would be the least embarrassing, and the internal controversy had paralyzed my ability to respond with any ounce of smoothness. Finally, I felt myself nodding my head, and he seemed to accept this as a positive confirmation.

“Great. See you in a few minutes.” There was a slight chance he might have winked at the end. But it also could’ve been the sun streaming in through the all the windows at the front of the building, so I tried my best not to get my hopes up. As he walked away, assumedly to change into a less distracting ensemble, I wondered if anyone else noticed my gaping mouth as I stared at his impossibly tight ass and broad, well-defined shoulders. When Savannah nudged me, I decided that was confirmation enough.

Though I would never admit this to her in a hundred years, it was occurring to me that maybe my friend had been right – maybe this was exactly what I needed. Hell, I was beginning to feel better already.

Tires spinning, the car launched off in a lurching Superman dive.

Gravel, water from a swollen river below, and broken limbs showered in reverse as the car nose-dove into the shallowest part of the river below.

Tony waited, seconds sliding into a minute, and the gas tank cooperatively blew. Tony instinctively covered his face as it grew hot from the burning wreckage.

Fan-effing-tastic, he thought with satisfaction. Good old Doug was laughing to pieces down there in the trunk. Literally. Of course, the dead had no humor. It was too perfect.

He laughed at his cleverness and backed away from the inferno.

After about a quarter mile outside the immediate scent reach, he caught the one smell he'd been hunting before trashing the burning evidence.

Singers.

And one in particular: Jacqueline.

The grin on his face reflected his satisfaction.

It fit him perfectly as he'd slipped his human skin to go to wolfen the instant his nose guided him into the thickest part of the woods where his prize lay hiding.

Tony ran, the small animals of the forest moving like water split by a ship's prow. They scampered as he tore through their habitat.

When he arrived where the Singers and demonic fought, he wore their small bodies to mid-shin.

If they did not move out of his way, he ran them into the ground.

It was this vision that filled Jacqueline's eyes when her gaze found him. He knew what she saw from the tenseness of her body.

Fucking weird, Tony thought. As he looked around at the Singers, he noticed they wore some kind of silver all over their skin.

He squinted, looking closer, and realized it was the blood coursing through their bodies.

The Review

Hello, hello, hello!

Seeing the news that always has us Xpresso Books Tour for an honest review, I came across this book, is one of those books that do not explain how it is that attracts you, but yet it does, and in my case started with two words : steampunk and cyberpunk.

Not that I'm an expert in that type of genre, on the contrary, hence the attraction to this book, I wanted to know about these genres and wanted even more sci-fi DISCOVER that was in his heart this story.

By building the foundations of a new world, the duty of an author is to make the reader gets to imagine this place smoothly and that their characters be conformed to this world without any doubt. Both parties are in synchrony to help clear your imagination flow. And when this happens it is a delight.

There are aliens, robots, humans, worlds and not so different from the society we know but with a different touch points. What makes being dressed in a very especial.Y way holding hands with my favorite character: Farissa is strong and determined; and other characters that will make your evening great reading.

Maybe there was light spots where I had trouble with my reading, but nothing was resolved slowly. Contrary.

How to describe this book? As a treat for the imagination.

That's what I loved about this book, his story could imagine fácilmente.Y when a book makes your imagination flow. No doubt, you have to read it. If you're a fan of sci-fi history, this book is for you.

My cheeseburger literary |Little Things Alice|

littlethings

Hello hello! How are you?

wriAfter a long time finally back with Little things Alice

in the company of a book-tag that I read a while, I seem very original and

it is in the form of hamburger ha ha! (The reason for the title of this post).

This literary book-tag consists of choosing a book of all your bookshelf for each ingredient of our burger,

following which suggest us.

So, want to see as became my burger? Will I add some fries and a soda?

Hope you like it  =P and Let's Go!

BOTTOM BREAD:

First book in a series  that you love.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE by Anne Rice

This is where I started my love for vampires! A know them by Stoker, but love them by Anne Rice, and from here, I start seeing different stories about them. In this particular book I admit, I was in love with Louis, Lestat called my attention and I wanted to be like Claudia, ha ha that was a long time ago, but this book is one of my favorites. It is a world that is definitely well created  and founded, and that certainly is a reference to any subject of vampires, is a classic of this era.

***

MEAT:

Book with 400 pages or more that you liked.

LA EDAD DE LA PUNZADA by Xavier Velasco

The inner core of any burger! This book is part of my inner core, is an author of my country (Mexico), and that I met through my mother (it's one of his favorite authors) As you can see the title is in Spanish so, one meaning of the title and the book would be something like: "A story of adolescence not unlike of many others, that recalls a time where everything seems to be going downhill and where laughter is nothing more than a tool for survival" For my sample that surreal side of my country (laughter and sadness go hand in hand), in particular how to live in adolescence and I think I like the accent or the author's voice and is that the sound is familiar to me, "singing" ,like  say the foreigners that we have  the people who live in the Mexico City.

***

CHEESE:

Book with 300 pages or less that you've read and enjoyed.

THE DEVIL'S TATTOO by Nicole  R. Taylor

This book is one of the must-haves in my personal bookshelf, and that's why I put it here, for me on a burger should not miss the cheese! (is one of my favorite ingredients :)) When I read this book really enjoy it and became one of my favorites because it mixes things I like: music and reading. What can I say? It was the beginning of that I started to love these stories, is part special of blog and is present in me.

***

LETTUCE:

Book with 200 pages or less that you have not read but you want to do it.

NIGHT OF CAKE & PUPPETS by Laini Taylor

The book is really small, I have it on my list of want to read it, and the funny thing is, I haven't been unable read it yet!
As this is possible, definitely I don't know! but I hope to read it soon.. P.S; I'm TEAM ZUZANA

***

TOMATO:

Book with 200-400 pages that you love or hate.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind

Love this book when I read it, is one of those books that you know the answer immediately, and in my case it was: Love.

The murderer has only one feature that makes it special; his sense of smell and therefore the key to creating any essence,

even invent your own. One of my favorite stories.

***

SAUCE:

Book that you thought you would not like it and you ended up hating or loving.

CRIME AND  PUNISHMENT  by F.  Dostoevsky

This is the kind of book that stays in my literary limbo, is not going to like me, but is something that ultimately makes me who I like either side ends up hating the fact that at the beginning of the book it was heavy and I almost looked halfway interesting. So this question of the sauces, if you made much of a bad thing falls apart and if not add some much feel that I miss. It is the limbo, neither good nor bad.

***

BREAD TOP:

Last book o

f a saga that you are afraid.

BREAKING DAWN -Twilight -  Stephenie Meyer

Uhh, Why I put here??? Afraid  to this book? '?? uh nope, was not afraid, on the contrary it was the saga that I liked at the time (and yes, I admit that I like it, but perhaps more relaxed with ah yes, I read it and I liked it) so why here?? ? I think that I was a little afraid for the fact as people gave it the books BOOM sagas for movies, and the fact that ultimately refused the fact that they liked or vandalizing a story and began the intense love u intense to the book series hate, I understand that there are things that divide (what happened to this saga, or you like or hate) but do not forget that there for every taste!

***

SODA:

Find a book for each of your initials.

M - Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert

A - Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

R - Red & Wolfe by Ella James

bovarytag-horz

Somewhat logical description of what I like to read, I go from the classics, go through the horror, mystery, fantasy and end up with something sexy, hot. I can be a somewhat shy girl (ok, one day I'll do this with my personality), somewhat mysterious with a touch of fantasy and perhaps is coming out a side that really likes the Hot side of life.

***

FRIES:

Count your age along the your bookshelf. What book comes out?

20+ UNINTENDED by Amity Cross.

I think this if it goes according this snap, is hot and addictive like the fries because you started with the first book,

ended up with the third book and you expect to have more books of this serie.

Also because I started reading it almost exact to the age that I have,

so it's Fucking Fabulous Rock!

***

I hope you enjoy this my first Book-tag, hope to write or do another soon!

and tell me, What  books would have in their Cheeseburgers Literary? ;)

= ALLYCAT =
