Our story begins presenting us Renee "Ren" Miller, our protagonist receiving a Knockout by life, but she will have to get up and face the following strokes or victories that life will present. Including his father, who decides to look after many years of absence, and which will have a few surprises along the way. He owns the down and out boxing studio: Beat and to Ren, this will be a place of physical and mental training. Including in the physical side, to the Dad's star fighter, Ash Fuller, sexy, muscled and tattooed.
Step long time since we had Amity Cross a new release book ... (ok, not quite, always tries to pamper their fans). When I heard about what he planned in his new release, Beat, from the beginning I saw work very hard and really amazes me how she can find to give a solidity to their ideas.
For my part, I must say I had my doubts, because, boys, girls, kittens of the universe, I'm not a fan of the struggles or fights, it's the last thing that i would watch on TV (when I watch it) or read, ok at this point my level in sports is zero. But since my level of curiosity when it writes Amity is big, do not hesitate to have me here, saying: I could reform me and see sexy fighters occasionally to enjoy the view (or reading).
Amity created their own place fighting in this book, you definitely have to read or add it to your list of books to read. Find a balance between toughness, erotic and dark so that is definitely something new to the author, with a bit of sarcasm in a few lines and with that characteristic style leave us a ray of hope for romance, but taking us to the uncertain ways of what would happen until the end.
An explosion of the cosmos, fireworks and heat in the atmosphere, very well define the relationship between Ren and Ash, you will definitely feel the weather changes around, Lick and sip a popsicle in your favorite flavor.
The characters are more mature in their development and will evolve as we are presented with the necessary elements to give us that blast, we have a well-balanced mix of characters, I must say I was surprised. The protagonists are in a limit at the beginning of the book we discovered Ren quickly but Ash ... uhmm, a good play Amity !! And oh god those villains! I myself wanted to kick them (Note: I still want and probably also in Pulse). I do not really define what achievement is my favorite of all, Ren and Ash have the same level right now everyone has something that makes me say ohh my favorite is !!! I want to see that has us more surprises this pair.
When I say that Amity managed to create their own place to fight in this book, is that really did was read the book and feel to be there, imagining movimentos has much ease when wanting to show that place and at the same time make us the emotions of each character.
All in good time !!! mua ha ha ha <- sometimes I think that Amity is so, each She are writing a final and is something that goes through my mind whenever I read one of their stories and get to the last page of the book, but not before probably be in shock, probably saying WTF or wanting to kick one of the protagonists or villains, and looking forward to reading the next part of the story.
If you are the first time that read something written by Amity, this is a good option to start a sweet addiction stories, because by the time you reach the end you inevitably you will want to have the next pulse of history.

My fist slammed into the heavy leather bag, the impact
jolting up my arm and absorbing into my torso.
The only light was from the back row of fluorescents
I’d switched on over the ring. It was dark, murky and helped me pretend I was
someplace else. The drama from the daylight hours was gone and it was just me
and the darkness. Exactly the way I liked it.
I began another set of punches, hair sticking to the
sweat beading across the back of my neck. Structure. This was the only thing
that was predictable in my life and I needed predictable.
Stance. Guard. Punch. Guard. Repeat.
There was a loud cough behind me and I spun on my
heel, heart thumping in my chest, and my gaze collided with Ash’s.
“Fuck,” I exclaimed, holding a hand over my heart. “Don’t
fucking do that, Ash.” Typical. The creeper was being all creeper again.
“What are you doing?” He stared at me, his gaze
hovering a little too long on my bare midriff.
I steadied the bag with one hand, taking deep breaths.
“What does it look like?”
“I’ve never seen…” He trailed off and I wondered if
I’d finally made the Golden Boy lost for words.
I turned my back so I didn’t have to look at him. “What? A woman in a sports bra?
Highly doubt it.” I rolled my eyes and wiped my forehead with the back of my
arm. Even though I couldn’t see, I felt his gaze burning into my skin and I
suppressed the urge to squeeze my thighs together. Infuriating, self-absorbed,
arrogant…
